By the use of bio-energy, the border town Mureck has decreased the CO2 output by more than 70% within the last three years. We have the ambitious aim of providing Mureck with 100% renewable energy. Therefore lots of interested visitors are coming from all over the world to visit Mureck. SEEG Mureck is known as a pioneer in producing biodiesel. A high quality and utilizable energy source produced from used cooking oil. The two biomass-boilers of the Nahwärme Mureck provide 200 facilities (75 % of the town) with energy so that Mureck is able to reap a wide range of benefits. >>
