Local heat: how does it work?
Esentially, like a common central heating system.
Water gets warmed up in a boiler plant at the district heating station and each single receiver is supplied by widely ramified mains supply. The receiver transfers the delivered heat to its own local system.
The better the pipe insulation and the shorter the pipeline is, the more efficiently the heating system willwork.
The Nahwärme Mureck heating system runs through out the whole year. Each single receiver decides when to start and stop heating. Furthermore Nahwärme Mureck offers hot water through out the year.
The sources for heat production are wood and waste wood allocated by the timber industry and forestry. The Nahwärme Mureck heating system also utilises the industrial waste heat from common electricity production.
