How does the biogas plant work?
The renewable raw materials are stored temporarily in silos for corn storage. The corn gets mixed with liquid manure. After that, this mixture goes into a hydrolysis container where the process of fermentation starts while the heat in the container increases to 38 - 40 degree Celcius. The substratum goes from the hydrolysis container to the fermenters where the main process of fermentation starts. The storage period amounts to approximately 50 - 60 days.
After this procedure the fermented substratum goes to the biogas manure storage and in the growing season this substratum - which is a high-quality fertiliser - is used for manuring the fields of the region with special manure-barrels.
The hydrolysis container, the fermenters and the ultimate disposal places are connected together. The produced biogas is delivered by a 180 m gas main to a combined heat and power plant.
